This a very detailed model of the 1966 GT40 7Liter/427 race car that Ford used to win Le Mans that year. It was built to beat the unbeatable Ferraris. The GT40 took home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place wins that year. This model has steerable front wheels via the steering wheel, opening doors, front end, and engine cover. It has a very detailed engine compartment and interior. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Wix Filter Manufacturing Co.
This Wix collectable is a very detailed 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C. The hood, doors, and trunk open and the front wheels are steerable. The engine bay and the trunk are both very detailed. The sidepipes look like real ones that turn colors from the heat. This one comes with a certificate of authenticity.
This is a idea that I made from 2″X12″ wooden stock. It is designed around a Chevrolet big block, but I can build them for any motor. With the large heavy duty casters it easily carrys a 700+lb big block. What makes this one unique is it’s able to carry the transmission bolted to the motor. These photos are of the first prototype
Here at JT’s Hot Rod Garage we specialize in hot rods, customs, cars, trucks, and anything from good old American iron. My current project is a 1955 1st series 1/2 ton Chevrolet pick-up. It is in very good shape and almost all stock. I did a complete brake job on it, including all new everything. New king pins were installed along with a new drag link, front motor mount, new gages, generator belt, and a complete tune-up. I have designed and constructed a new wooden bed that is unlike any other. This is a prototype for 1947 thru 1955 1st series Chevrolet/GMC pickups. This unique bed follows the curves of the fat fenders. I can make one for just about any fat fendered pickup. Here are the updated photos of my last version before the truck sold. I refined the bed somewhat and sprayed it with red primer over gray primer. I installed new big & little tires and wheels with caps and trim rings. I converted it to a 12 volt system with a chrome one wire alternator and a new 12 volt battery. I installed a new clutch disc, pressure plate, bearing, and a 5 speed transmission. Next was an HEI distributor that made a real difference in the 235. Inside I added bucket seats from a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with a three gauge cluster and a dash mounted tachometer. I recently installed new tinted glass and window channel for the new owner.
